Seventh Chords: Introduction

Seventh chords are built by stacking three thirds. There are seven kinds of seventh chords.

If we allow one or two of the intervals to be major seconds, we will get a few additional chords to explore. These are not seventh chords in a narrow sense, but you can obviously use the same exercises to practice them.
